The Problem:
   As any manager within a growing organization knows, information access is vital to success. Many times organizations are faced with the dilemma of how to best manage a library of information that can include anything from digital media (videos, audio, web-links), books, to training documents. Frequently, the best answer is to consolidate the information in such a way that allows organized access by employees, donors, board members, share holders etc.

The Solution:
   The Devnext team has designed a website that essentially acts as a forum for people to experience a microcosym of each client’s unique organizational culture. The interface stays true to the Devnext precedent of user-friendly access, that encourages easy access by the general public. Each site consists of a main page with a search field that allows users to run a comprehensive search, customize for specific content, preview the results, and download the desired content. Managers are still equipped for effective quality control with administrative access to review and approve the downloaded content accessed by the general public.

The Execution:
   Devnext’s design team begins the process with a proposal outlining the primary objectives and necessary functionality of each site. From there, the project is implemented through six phases of development that, when complete, result in a fully-operational website installed on a organization or corporation’s server, ready for immediate interaction and content upload! Along the way, Devnext works carefully to facilitate communication and ease the transition of information. They do this by providing mockups of the final page layout, highlighting how the navigation works. The team also sends out a survey to employees and prospective users asking key questions such as: What features are most needed? What does the website need to accomplish on a day-to-day basis? Who are the most frequent users? etc. The survey results facilitate further page customization as well as creating a stakeholder status for those who access the information the most frequently. Presentations by the Devnext designers upon completion of each phase of development ensure close alignment between expectations and final product delivery.
